Library Cards: Any Ohio resident with required proof of address may obtain a library card at no charge; children under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian's signature. The library will charge a nominal fee for the replacement of the card. You may request a digital card online.
Mechanicsburg Public Library Public Service Policy 7 Standards of Conduct and Library Security
In order to maintain an environment conducive to quality service for all users, the Mechanicsburg Public Library Board of Trustees has established certain standards and rules for the comfort, safety and protection of all.
PS 7.1 General Code of Conduct
Any misconduct that hinders the use of Library materials or services, that disturbs the use of the Library by others or endangers public safety, is prohibited.
Computers with internet, word processing and printing are available. Register with your library card at the service desk. Fifteen minutes before closing the computers give a five minute warning to finish your work. Wireless internet access is also available. Request an appointment for individual or small group instruction with employees.
Faxing is available for both sending and receiving. The cost is 50¢ a page to send and receive.
Group visit requests are welcome for all ages to tour the building, do research, or cover topics of special interest.
Home delivery services are available for people who live in the Mechanicsburg School District who are unable to use the library because of temporary or permanent physical limitations. Please fill out the application if you are interested in participating in this service.
The Mechanicsburg Public Library is a member of the Serving Every Ohioan Consortium. If we currently don't have the items you want to borrow at our location, they may be available through other member libraries. You can request items through your Library account online, or have us place requests for you to be picked up and returned to our location.
