Culture Passes
Mechanicsburg Public Library is excited to partner with the Columbus Museum of Art to offer Culture Passes to our library cardholders! The America-250 Ohio Commission has announced the 4th Grade History Pass – a free pass for every fourth-grade student in Ohio to visit participating history-related museums and sites free of charge when accompanied by a paying adult. Passes are not available for pickup at the Library, but may be printed from our public computers.

Levy

The Board of Trustees of the Mechanicsburg Public Library requested a renewal of the existing tax levy for the purpose of paying operating expenses.  The voters approved the renewal on November 4, 2014.  Thank you for the support.  We're doing our best to responsibly manage your tax dollars.

2016 Worm Races

The results are in! This year's WORM Race champion is Turbo from Mrs. Welty's 2nd grade class with a time of 26.41 seconds!
2nd Place: Winners - 35.91 seconds (Mr. Eyink's 3rd grade class)
3rd Place: Kidz Bop - 37.78 seconds (Mrs. Wagner's kindergarten class)
4th Place: Turbo - 56.91 seconds (Mrs. Henry's 4th grade class)
5th Place: Fast & Furious - 1.10.16 (Mrs. Lacey's 5th grade class)
6th Place: Awesome Cheetah - 1.32.46 (Mrs. Riley's 1st grade class)

Computer Training

OFFICE SOFTWARE TRAINING
Learn about Microsoft Office Outlook and Word September 27, 2016 at the Mechanicsburg Public Library.  Microsoft Office Outlook at 11 am & Microsoft Office Word at 2 pm.  Space is limited so registration is required.  The State Library of Ohio trainer will provide training in our meeting room.

Road Construction

Road construction is making parking for the library a challenge.  Sorry for the inconvenience!  Try to use our parking lot in the back by way of the Post Office, from Locust Street to Oak, or from 29 to Oak Street.  Best wishes on the adventure of getting here.

PRC Back to School Clothing Program 2016

Back to School Clothing program extended by Champaign County Department of Job and Family Services to August 14. Applications are now available at the Mechanicsburg Public Library. If you have a child who meets the eligibility guidelines, they might get $175 for school clothes and shoes.  Completed applications go to 1512 S US Highway 68 Suite N100 by mail or in person.  Call 937-484-1500 or 1-800-837-4290 with any questions.
