The Library’s volunteer program is designed to expand and enhance public service to the community. Volunteers generally provide support services to paid employees and/or work on special projects. Volunteers learn more about the Library and its place in the community and observe firsthand the way the Library serves the community's needs. If you are interested and available anytime during open hours, please contact the library by phone, email, or just come in.

The current story is Seed by Seed: The Legend and Legacy of John "Appleseed" Chapman by Esme Raji Codell, sponsored by the Evans-Wilson Family, in honor of Johnny Appleseed's 250th birthday (September 26, 2024), and in collaboration with the Johnny Appleseed Educational Center and Museum in Urbana.
