Culture Passes / Kanopy
Culture PassesMechanicsburg Public Library is excited to partner with the Columbus Museum of Art to offer Culture Passes to our library cardholders! The America-250 Ohio Commission has announced the 4th Grade History Pass – a free pass for every fourth-grade student in Ohio to visit participating history-related museums and sites free of charge when accompanied by a paying adult. Passes are not available for pickup at the Library, but may be printed from our public computers.
Kanopy
Using your Mechanicsburg Public Library card, you can now access Kanopy. With an extensive collection of narrative and documentary films, as well as TV series and kids content, we’re pleased to bring this streaming service to our community. Go to www.kanopy.com/mechanicsburg to get started today. Patrons will receive 15 tickets per month. Checking out items can range from 1-5 tickets, depending on length of running time. The viewing period is 3-21 days, depending on length of running time. Kids content does not require tickets; checking out a 30 day pass will let you access all kids content. Please contact the library if you have questions about using Kanopy and stay tuned for future library programs about using Kanopy.

Mechanicsburg Public Library Open House Sponsored by Friends of the Library Saturday, July 13th, 2019
10 am – 2 pm TOURS 10 am – 2 pm Patriotic Crafts for all ages. 10 am – 2 pm Larry the Magician! Catch his magic show and be amazed! 11 am – 1 pm Books and Bridle! Children can read to therapy horse “Gracie,” weather permitting. 11 am – 1pm Zoo on the Move! Learn about the behaviors and habitats of some of the animals from the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery.

Would you like to improve your penmanship? Are you interested in learning how to write in cursive? On September 26 we will be offering a class in handwriting! There will be three different time slots starting at 3:15 PM (4:15 and 5:15) and last for 45 minutes. There is no registration and seating is limited so come early!
